The Warsaw duo RYSY is made up of producers Wojtek Urbański and Łukasz Stachurko. Their music is a mixture of progressive dance rhythms built on the canvas of deeply melancholic and catchy melodies.
The premiere of the debut single "Ego" (with a guest appearance by Justyna Święs) took place on May 4, 2015, and the debut longplay "Traveler" was released by the indie label U Know Me Records on the 4th of September. Next step was the "Father" EP from December 30, 2016, containing the songs "Father" and "Crystal Love".
From the beginning of its activity, the band focused heavily on live performances. The duo participated in the biggest Polish festivals (including Open'er Festival, Tauron Nowa Muzyka, Audioriver and Off Festival) and the concert line-up was often extended with vocalists who appeared on the album "Traveler" (Justyna Święs, Baasch and Piotr Zioła).
RYSY quickly gained recognition in the world of Polish alternative music. In 2016, the duo was awarded the "Discovery of the Year" statuette by the Muno magazine, the "Team of the Year" by the Aktivist magazine (Nocne Marki award) and a nomination for the Fryderyk award in the "Debut of the Year" category. Despite these successes, the band suspended their activities on January 30, 2017. The reactivation took place on December 31, 2020 with the premiere of the single "4GET" - the title track from the album, which is due out in spring 2021. With the new material, the artists go a step further in terms of the spaciousness, depth and emotional message contained in their music. The album "4GET" will be full of massive bass and pumping drums immersed in the melancholy characteristic of the duo. The album will be released by the newly established Dyspensa Records.
