Margaret

Margaret is a singer, songwriter, composer and definitely one of the most popular artists of the young generation. She has recorded five studio albums and two among them - "Add The Blonde" (2014) and "Just The Two of Us" (2015) - have gone platinum. She has also won numerous industry awards headed by the MTV Europe Music Awards and the Eska Music Awards.

An international contract signed early in her career allowed her to spread her wings under the guidance of top music industry professionals. This, combined with an unconventional personality, resulted in many artistic successes, including participation in Melodifestivalen in Sweden, where with the song "In My Cabana" Margaret reached the finals while winning the first place of the iTunes sales results in Sweden. Despite these achievements, she decided to take a turn in her career, resulting in the album "Gaja Hornby" (2019) - 100% Polish-language material, showing a new face of the artist. The album earned her a Fryderyk nomination in the Pop Album of the Year category.

In 2021, Margaret released "Maggie Vision" album, which was, on the one hand, a product of her fascination with hip-hop and urban music sounds, and on the other, the need to talk about important issues in her life. Although the artist called "Maggie Vision" the most "her" album in her career, the album did not lack guest appearances. Participating in the recordings were Otsochodzi, Young Igi, Kukon, Kizo, Natalia Szroeder, Kara, Urboishawty and Stanislavv. "Maggie Vision" also features catchy melodies and a bold draw on pop, which, combined with hip-hop inspirations, gave the album an original dimension. The artistic metamorphosis went hand in hand with changes in the business field. Margaret decided to break her previous contracts to create her own songwriter-producer team, and then focus on developing a business supporting young talents, which she was inspired to do by her judging on The Voice Of Poland TV show.

In July 2021, the singer released the "Gelato" EP, conquering parties across Poland with her holiday repertoire. The single "Tak na oko", which comes from it, has remained on many radio charts ever since. Over the course of 2022, several more musical novelties were released, including the singles "Cry in my Gucci" and "Restless Sea," which, like the "Gelato" EP, received a lot of attention from listeners and radio stations.

In May 2022 Margaret became the Polish ambassador of Spotify EQUAL, an international campaign to promote and support women in the music industry. In September, the artist was a guest at the Spotify EQUAL special event in Los Angeles, where she was invited as one of five ambassadors of this unique campaign from outside the US. The singer is also taking on challenges in new fields of artistic activity. She recently starred in the film "Zadra" - which was in the main competition of the Gdynia Feature Film Festival and had its theatrical premiere in January 2023 - as well as in the audio series "Niech to usłyszą" broadcasted on Radio ZET.

The year 2023 marks Margaret's 10th anniversary as a professional artist. First, March 24 saw the premiere of the "Urbano Futuro" EP, while at the 26th of April a special live album under the brand of the iconic "MTV Unplugged" series was released. It is a full-length material recorded in December 2022 in a unique Cuban version, i.e. Margaret's greatest hits in an acoustic arrangement and accompanied by a 14-piece band of instrumentalists. The "MTV Unplugged Margaret" album is a recording of a performance at Warsaw's Teatro Cubano. Without a classical stage and rows of numbered seats, instead, in the intimate anthura of bar tables, the gathered audience was transported to a colorful Havana.

The singer's latest new release is the single "Dance Stupidly," published in May. The song announces Margaret's new pop album, which will be released in the first half of 2024.
